Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You just need to be able to measure and cut
  • No sewing
  • the materials list makes 8 yards of Garland

Pattern Description:

When the kids were little, every year we would string popcorn and cranberries on the tree and I loved the warm look of it. Now that they are busy with activities in their free time, I chose to replace the popcorn garland with something permanent that gives that same warmth. My daughter and I made ours together. She and I will always have that memory and the garland to remind us.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 8 yards of Garland that is about 1.25" wide


  • 1/3 yard red felt 72" wide
  • 1/4 yard white felt 72" wide
  • 432 gold pony beads
  • 10 yards of 1/8" wide ribbon or strong monofiliment (like fishing line)

You Will Also Need:

  • cutting mat, ruler and rotary blade
  • doll making needle - 3" long and sharp with a big eye
  • a rubber gripper
  • 1.75" long straight pins
