I love sewing and crafts and making things for my kids. I especially love making softie toys and in the last couple of years I have been designing my own softies and writing patterns too. I LOVE fabrics especially the bright fabrics and kids prints. I have also recently started holding sewing classes for kids too - which have been great fun.View all patterns by designer (17) »

This pattern is suitable for a beginner to intermediate sewer. This pattern and instructions will take you through step by step how to sew Drafty the Door Sausage Dog. It includes full sized templates (on A4 size paper) for the pattern pieces. You will need to download and print out the pattern and cut out the templates.
Drafty the Door Sausage Dog is practical and cute! Just make him up and pop him up against the door and he'll keep those pesky drafts out.
You can make him to suit any door size, as the pattern allows you to lengthen or shorten him as you like. Drafty will easily cover the width of a standard, single door and is designed to also cover the door frame on each side.
I found with the standard length of a door sausage it was always just that little bit too short, which is why I designed Drafty this way.
If you wish to shorten or lengthen him, this is done in the Pieced-Middle. So allow for extra fabric in the Pieced-Middle ONLY if you wish to lengthen him.
