Pattern Description:

This is a bikini top and shorts pattern based on an original 1940's set.
The shorts feature front and back waist darts, narrow waistband, and side zipper or snap closure.

The bikini features a knotted tie halter strap. Because of the nifty gathering effect of the pattern front, there's actually quite a bit of room in the bust area, depending on how tight you tie the knot at the bust. This pattern is for a 38" bust but easily adjusts to other sizes bu just removing or adding a bit of allowance to the side seams.

These shorts and bikini beach bra are a great combo for a perfect 1940's summer look!

The pattern was based on a popular 1940's silhouette but is an original design.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

Size 20 Bust 38 ins. Waist 32 ins. Hip (7" below natural waistline) 41 ins. Shorts length at side seam, 1" hem allowed 14 1/2 ins.

Fabric Requirements: Bra, 7/8 yd (35-39" wide) Shorts and bra: 35" material, 1 3/4 yd or 39" material, 1 1/2 yd.

Snaps or 8-10" zipper for shorts placket, 100 yd spool of thread.
