Pattern Description:

Something NEW from something OLD! Save time and money by reusing your old pair of jeans to make a completely new denim skirt. This tutorial will instruct you on how to recreate almost any of your jeans or pants into a knee-length skirt without any added fabric.

This is a LEVEL 3 pattern.
Level 3 is for the confident seamstress who has made many projects and is eager to learn more.

  • 1 long pair of jeans that fit around the waist and hip area. This tutorial will show you how to make a knee-length jeans skirt with no extra fabric needed. (Extra long jeans are ideal for this project.)
  • Seam ripper
  • Piece of cardboard (approx. 12 x 13 inches large)
  • Chalk
  • Sharp Scissors
  • Iron and Ironing Board

You Will Also Need:

  • Matching thread (HEAVY-DUTY)
  • Jeans topstitching thread
