Pattern Description:
The perfect summer play time skirt and so simple you can whip it right up during nap time and have it ready to wear to the park before she even wakes up. Designed to be monkey bar friendly with attached but hidden bike shorts underneath and designed for comfort with the no-elastic yoga waistband.
This versatile little cupcake inspired skirt can be made with or without the "icing" (aka ruffles) or with or without the shorts and comes in a huge array of sizes so you can pull it out year after year from 12 months all the way up to 14 years.
***The Sweet Shop Skirt is sized for stretch knits only***
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Sizes 12 months-14 years
Materials:
- 1-2 large or larger adult t-shirt for base of skirt (Recycled is best!) (2-3 if making skort option) 2-4 additional t-shirts in varying colors/prints Matching polyester thread Ball point or stretch needle for medium weight fabrics *** If buying off of the bolt - Sizes up to 6 years will need 3/4 yard for the skirt plus approximately an additional 1/4 yard for the ruffles Sizes 7-14 will need 7/8 yard for the skirt plus approximately an additional 1/4 yard for the ruffles.
