About the designer

I love retro and vintage looks, but sew a variety of projects. I have started making patterns of my own and posting them online.

Pattern Description:

This is The Project Peggy Dress! This is my first self-drafted pattern inspired by too many hours watching Mad Men. The dress is based on two different Mad Men dresses (worn by Joan and Peggy) with a few changes of my own.

The dress zips in back with a hook and eye at the top. It has a wide peter pan collar that opens in the back. IT has a modified empire waist and the skirt has four darts in both the front and the back. The bodice back has two darts, the front bodice has gathers.

There are very limited written instructions for this pattern. For that reason, it should be used by experienced sewists only. However, if enough people are interested, I would do a sew-along on my blog.

This pattern is in one size only. If you sew it, I would be so thrilled to see photos. I'd link to your photos (or post) http://thesewinglab.blogspot.com.
