Bring on the hot summer! The Hattie Dress takes the classic sundress to a whole new level. Designed to be casual and comfortable with its stretch knit softness and easy style...the dress your little girl will end up pulling out of the closet over and over.
Versatility is key with this one. Although originally created from stretch knit fabrics (recycled tees!), this dress can be dressed up a bit and made from your favorite wovens as well. The ruffles can be customized and the Hattie Dress can hit just-below-the-knee or become a maxi dress and hit right above the ankle! This PDF includes very detailed tutorial on creating the Hattie Dress from either stretch knit or woven fabrics. Because of the nature of this design no pattern pieces are needed but, instead, a very detailed cutting guide is included for your choice of lengths.

I've been crafting for as long as I can remember. As a teen I began teaching myself to sew and started making some of my own clothes. Later went on to major in Fashion Design and to basically unlearn all that I taught myself. :) However, all my earlier experimentation gave me a freedom in my sewing to do things a little "out of the box" and not be afraid to have fun with sewing even if it occasionally breaks some rules.
As a mama to 4, I am most inspired by my children. You can find my line of children's clothing patterns at www.lilygiggle.com, Etsy and in various online retailers. I'm always working on new ideas swirling around in my brain and hope to have many more projects posted soon!
