The Sugar Baby is a fun and whimsical dress, providing hours of twirling and giggling for the sweet little ladies in your life.
It features a comfortable and fitted bodice with an elastic back and two 1" straps that tie in the back with a super cute bow.
This pattern is perhaps a little more intermediate than some, mostly because of the extensive gathering of the skirt tiers. However, if you have sewn a few other types of dresses before, you can certainly master this dress with a little patience and the helpful techniques listed.
This pattern does call for making two buttonholes on the back casing for the reverse tie straps. It does provide other suggestions if you are not comfortable making buttonholes but the pattern does not give instructions on how to use the buttonhole feature of your sewing machine. It also calls for interfacing (but it is really easy to apply).
This pattern is for sizes ranging from 6/12 months to size 6. The pattern includes computer drafted pattern pieces, information on preparing to sew, yardage requirements, sizing, customization options, materials and step by step large colors photos guiding you along the sewing process. It also includes instructions on how to create and add removable, interchangeable fabric flowers.
Basic sewing tools and sewing knowledge is required but Ginger Baby Patterns is always here to help if you have any questions. gingerbabypatterns {at} gmail . com

I seek to find creativity in every aspect of my life. Sewing, cooking, crafting, photography is what keeps me going. I am that crazy friend who goes to the fabric shop to relax after the kiddos go to sleep.
My mother taught me to sew for 4-H projects back in the day and had the patience of a saint. She helped me rip seam after seam and encouraged me to stick with sewing.
Now that I am a mother to two beautiful wee daughters, I am so thankful for that knowledge. I am combining my love of creating new things and ideas, along with a rediscovered passion for sewing to bring to you fun and easy projects to sew for the wee little ones in your life.
I also love details, writing, and publishing - that is why Ginger Baby Patterns are beautifully computer drafted and contain oodles of help and tidbits for your sewing pleasure.
Please share with me and contact me with any questions you may have. Relationships are important and I am always excited to meet new and creative friends.
