  • *Fabric: Any light to medium weight knit: cotton jersey, cotton interlock, etc for the top. Fabric for the neckband needs to be something with really great recovery; meaning it has a lot of stretch, but it bounces back to shape quickly after pulling. Ribbing or a cotton lycra will work best.
  • *1/2" hem tape highly suggested *Ball point, stretch, or jersey needle *I love using my serger and cover stitch for all knit construction. If you don't have a serger, suitable stitches are: zig zag or overlock. (Remember no back stitching when using an overlock!) When using a straight stitch, increase length to allow for stretch. * Knits do not need to be finished even if you are using a standard sewing machine. They do not fray! Yay, quick sew! *Remember the stretch of the fabric always goes around the body.

You Will Also Need:

  • *Basics: thread, scissors, ruler, rotary cutter, hem gauge.
