I'm a born and raised california girl. I served 5 years in the Marine Corps before deciding to be a stay at home/work at home mommy to my two little girls. I started to sew because I could never find the things they liked to wear, but it has evolved into a lot of costume work. I'm just now branching out from making patterns for my own use to making patterns for others to use as well!View all patterns by designer (5) »
This cute two part cape is every girl's dream! She'll be able to play princess all day long with this project that from start to finish, will take under 2 hours (unless you have to bust out the seam ripper, but let's think positive thoughts, eh?)
Velcro is recommended, as the hook and eye poses a choking/strangulation hazard, but if you child will be supervised during play, and you won't allow the cape to be worn at night, then you can definitely opt for the hook and eye. Please note: capes, even with Velcro at the neck, should be removed during sleep!
Best of all - I don't believe in charging extra if you are making this to sell! This pattern is for you to use and make from, what you do with those items, whether to keep or sell is at your pleasure. Please note, this is for cottage industries only; not for manufacture by large companies. Also, you cannot sell or share this pattern. It is copyrighted by Sew Charming by Becky, 2014.
