Pillowcase dresses are all the rage right now and this pattern and supplemental video tutorial allow you to make your own quickly, easily and professional looking with french seams.
This pattern requires that you take 2 measurements of the little girl you are making this dress for- width of chest, and the length you want the dress to be. If you are making it as a gift you can use a shirt/dress that would fit her in her size to give you the measurements you need. It is customizable and can be made in almost any size you want. This dress would even make a cute top for an older girl to wear over jeans or leggings.
My patterns and tutorials are very detailed and have clear and easy to follow instructions. The best part is that I created a video tutorial to guide you along the way! I do this because I know that not everyone learns by reading directions. My video tutorial allows you to see first-hand how the dress comes together.

You may recognize Vanessa as YouTube craft tutorial sensation Crafty Gemini. As an up-and-comer, Vanessa recently won a $35,000 grant from YouTube. A teacher at heart, she is currently an assistant professor in Santa Fe Community College's paralegal program. She lives on a farm in Gainesville, Fla., with her husband and two children. Although some people say she does it all (and she almost does), she admits that she cannot sing.
