Pattern Description:

Tie Dye Diva patterns always include full-sized printable patterns that are computer drafted and color coded. DIY is great, but I don't make you draft your own patterns! Take a look at the sample pages (from a different Tie Dye Diva pattern) for an example of what is included.

This is a classic peasant top pattern with long sleeve and short sleeve options - Slim A-line shape is perfect for layering under costumes, jumper dresses, corset tops or for wearing alone. Full short sleeves or tapered long sleeves, optional slim back sash.

I'll show you different methods of finishing the top to get different looks, and you can make it with inexpensive cotton muslin, your favorite quilting cottons, voile, dotted swiss, and much more!

Don't let the beautiful results or fear of "sleeves' make you hesitate - peasant tops are very easy to sew, and I take you through every step, one by one. Every stitch you need to sew is clearly diagrammed onto full color photos and includes text instructions as well.

Light to midweight fabrics; cotton quilting fabrics, gingham, seersucker, gauze, voile; dotted swiss, cotton muslin. Short sleeves: Sizes 2, 4, 6, 2/3 yard; all larger sizes, 1 yard Long sleeves: Sizes 2 and 4, 1 yard; all large sizes, 1.25 yard
1.5 yard 1/4 " elastic

I really like this pattern. I have made it twice. The first time no putting the papers on the pattern together right and overlapping edges. Of course, it made it too small. Second time I taped and followed to a tee. Then using 1/2" seams it was still too small, even though it was supposed to have a 6" ease through the chest. However, the instructions are very good, the pattern is easy to follow and make, and the result is very good with a few adjustments. I suggest going up a size from what the ...
