Pattern Description:

The Little Red Riding Hood Cape is an easy to make reversible cape suitable for the beginner sewer.

Cozy , comfortable and eye catching, it is a cute addition for any little girls wardrobe.

Your PDF tutorial includes all the patterns and instructions you need to complete the cape and appliqu. If you have never sewn a felt applique before you really should try it. Felt can be straight stitched around and is very forgiving of crooked sewing.

This cape could be made from a multitude of fabrics. If you are looking for something warm and cozy for Winter you could use velvet, polar fleece, wool or wool-blend and line it with colorful cottons. For a light summer cape you could use light or medium weight cottons.

Once you have ordered you will receive a PDF eBook with easy to follow instructions which include color photos with step by step instructions. It will also include a full sized pattern including all pieces which will print on your regular home computer on either letter or A4 paper. All the measurements and instructions in my patterns are in both metric and imperial so you don't need to worry about conversions no matter where you live.

All my patterns can be made with or without a serger and are designed for sewers who do not have much experience.

Items made using the patterns in my eBooks may be used for personal use only at this stage. If you do wish to sell items made with my patterns please email me at so we can discuss it further.

I had some difficulty finding a "real" cape pattern (as opposed to one just for, say, a vampire costume) for children, so I looked on etsy and found the Maisie Cape pattern. It was exactly what I wanted.

The cape was quite easy to make, with only a couple of seams. The directions were clear and easy ...
