Use this pattern to make an elegant kimono-style robe for yourself or as a gift. Makes a lovely Valentine's Day gift for yourself or someone you love. Includes option to make long (44" from shoulder to hem) or short (33" from shoulder to hem) version.

Amount of fabric needed to make the kimono:
-for the shorter kimono you will need 2.75 yards of 58/60"-wide fabric or 3.5 yards of 44/45"-wide fabric.
-for the longer kimono you will need 3.25 yards of 58/60"-wide fabric or 4.25 yards of 44/45"-wide fabric.

Seam Finishing Techniques: this updated version of the pattern shows how to make the robe using french seam techniques or basic seam finishing techniques. French seams are a couture finishing technique in which you sew each seam twice in order to enclose the seam allowance.
