There are so many less cute patterns for boys than there are girls, so I am always looking for inspiration for my grandsons, who are in the middle years--too old for a jon jon but not all grown up just yet.
This pull over shirt/hoodie is a great alternative to regular shirts, tees and sweatshirts. It can be dressed up or down, and looks great in a variety of fabrics. Some of my favorite fabrics for this pullover are corduroy, madras and chambray. It is super cute in seersucker for a swim trunk cover up!
I came from a very creative family: my parents and my sister have influenced in that respect. I learned to sew first, but have also enjoyed needlepoint, cross stitch, calligraphy and ceramics. Currently, I also do hand embroidery, pattern design, smocking and machine embroidery.
With ten grand children, I have had lots of experience to design and experiment for them.
