Use a basic A-line dress pattern and a men's T-shirt (preferably worn to buttery softness) to make the most comfy dress EVER. Bonus - no hemming!
This pattern gets you a bundle. Here's what's included. . .
A pattern for a basic A-line dress in sizes 3-8. You can use the pattern to make an A-line dress out of purchased yardage, or use. . .
The PDF with step-by-step instructions (and photos) showing you how to use that pattern to make the dress from a men's T-shirt.
And, like all the patterns in this series, there's a video taking you through every step of the project.
This is hands-down my daughter's favorite dress. Not only does she wear them out and about, I now use it as the pattern for all her nightgowns - made from Daddy's old T-shirts, of course. Sweet! I'm not exaggerating when I say she has at least ten of these dresses hanging in her closet right now. She wears them All The Time. I love that they're made from favorite old T-shirts - and they take me less than an hour to make!
Oh! And it's made of knit fabric, but don't go thinking you need a fancy serger to make it. All you need is a regular sewing machine with a stretch (or ball point) needle.
This pattern/video is part of the Shirt Off Daddy's Back Pattern of the Month Series . You can get the whole collection at a discounted price.

I'm on a mission to teach people to sew, quilt, and embroider. I design patterns especially for beginners and I never release a pattern until I have videos teaching you every skill you'll need to complete the project. Have fun!
