Pattern Description:

Women's relaxed fit dress with an elastic waist. Features short kimono sleeves, keyhole opening at centre back and finishes above the knee. Easy to sew suitable for the beginner / novice sewer.

This print at home, (sized to fit both US letter and A4 International paper sizes) PDF pattern comes with complete easy, step by step sewing instructions, cutting guide and diagrams all to assist you in wearing your new dress in as short as time as possible.

Includes all seam and hem allowances and print at home instructions.

Just make sure that when you print, PAGE SCALING is set to NONE. Tiling patterns is easy, just trim each page around the bounding box, including the grey underlap area, then tile your pages together matching the markers and the grid lines. Easy! Please note the Grid should measure 2.5cm or 1" square when printed out.

  • *Narrow Fabrics: 115cm / 45" Size: XXS-XS-S - M= 1.7m / 67" Size: L = 2.4m / 95"
  • *Wide Fabrics: 140cm / 60" Size: XXS-XS-S= 1.4m / 56" Size: M-L= 1.5m / 60"

You Will Also Need:

  • Matching Lightweight Fusing, (we recommend Sheer Weft Fusing (Australia)
  • 1 x 12mm / 1/2" coverable button or similar
  • 6mm / 1/4" narrow elastic

Excellent Celebration dress  May 18, 2013

I love this pattern. I omitted the elastic choosing to use a belt instead. Easy to sew, I can see myself making this dress again.

I made this dress for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary celebration.

Excellent Silk Kimono Dress  November 11, 2012

I love this pattern! This is the second Pattern Runway pattern I've used, and these patterns are fantastic. The instructions are clear, and in this case, there's an accompanying photographic step-by-step tutorial on the designer's website, making this design suitable for beginners. (Or lazy folks like me who would rather just glance at the pictures than read the instructions! But I did both.) I've made this dress four times.
