Pattern Description:

The abundance of scarves available, especially long ones, and the many large square scarves currently not being used (but that many own) seemed to offer great potential for transforming into a slimming effect on a jacket. I also wanted to add my method for lengthening available sweatshirt 'fabric' with using a polar fleece addition creatively concealed.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Pattern accomodates sizes Small thru 2XL

Materials:

  • 2XL sweatshirt of 80% cotton 20% polyester orfull-bodied double knit fabric: 1 body length + 1 sleeve length of 5=60" wide.
  • polar fleece for increasing length if desired - 1 yard
  • some type of long scarf at least 60" long for lilac, lime, navy and black lower left jackets shown
  • 45" square silk scarf for black jackt shown center lower row
  • Even a pair of Men's Medium or larger light weight knit pj pants can be used for the 'scarf' as in the Navy Cardinal's Jacket

You Will Also Need:

  • Straight Fusible Stay Tape
  • Monofilament Thread
  • 2-3 spools polyester garment construction thread
