Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • basic sewing skills, sewing with knit fabric
  • there are no instructions!!! but that's okay, it's a simple shape, you'll see how it fits together once you cut out your size from the pattern

Pattern Description:

Thanks for stopping by! If you do use this pattern I'd love to see pics and get your feedback.

This is my first time uploading a pattern I made on Illustrator, so I wanted to put this one out there for free! It's a cute fitted sleeveless top with keyhole neckline, great for summer! It is made for comfy knit fabrics like cotton jersey, poly rayon, rib jersey, and I would even recommend trying it on old T-Shirt fabric for a t-shirt re-fashion.

I wanted to make it a blank canvas for people to add their own personal touch. So please note: There are no instructions included. I personally don't follow sewing instructions, it has never helped me in constructing a garment but what I have always been able to do was follow the lines, shape and logic of constructing the garment. :)

Okay I fixed the pattern, and figured out the best print out settings for size accuracy and matching. (see below)
My mess up is your gain! You get 1 extra size with this pattern (size 12)

A simple 2 piece pattern for those who already have sewing skills, and is easy for those who are learning.

1/2" for side and shoulder seams -included
leave raw edge or use 1/4" for keyhole neckline -included

It comes in 3 Missy sizes 6 (34 bust), 8 (35 bust) and 10 (36 bust), + 1 bonus size 12 (37 bust)
It runs on the small side, so when in doubt go up one size

Pick your size and cut along the long the corresponding lines.

PRINT SETTINGS: 8 1/2" x 11" letter size paper
-Black & White Print
- print pages at 100% size
- print scaling - TILE LARGE PAGES is best,
If you don't have the Tile option or only get 1 big page that prints out > go to Print,
> go to print settings select PRINT AREA
-once you select this the printer will give you Page Options,
-but if you don't see this.....
-you may have the option of manually moving the large page within the PRINT AREA window, this prints only what is showing in the window.
-For this option you would have to print one page at a time, because it is being adjusted manually.

-also select DO NOT SCALE or Do Not fit to page,
*you might get a printer warning that parts might be cropped off, just press OK.

This will allow the the image to be printed in multiple pages in actual size.

- then match up the pages by the lines
- if you printed one page at a time manually, you can overlap pages and match up lines.
- use clear tape to patch the pages together
and then cut

Let me know if this works, if not, please tell me what your print options are and I can see if I can work around that.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Missy sizes: 6 (34 bust), 8 (35 bust), 10 (36 bust), 12 (37 bust)

  • printer - to print pattern
  • clear tape - to patch pages together
  • plain ol' paper scissors to cut out pattern
  • straight stich machine, zig zag ok, or even overlock
  • your fabric of choice
  • sharp fabric scissors are best!

You Will Also Need:

  • whatever your imagination wants to add to this :)
