Pattern Description:
These are adorable cupcakes and ice creams appliques. The ice cream on this onesie is a double dipper, which I think came out totally adorable.
You can easily make these. The tutorial has lots of helpful hints to applique. It can look daunting, but once you've learned, it's so much fun!
I've updated my applique tutorial to include the pattern for both this ice cream and the cupcake. You can find them at the end of the digital pattern.
Included in this pattern is the pieces to make ice cream and cupcake appliques as well as a 7-page PDF pattern with full color pictures.
Materials:
- Scraps of fabric
- Heat n Bond Lite - small amounts
- Microtex Sharp sewing machine needles - Schmetz has these - 70/10
- Thread to match as closely to fabrics
- Stabilizer - I like the perforated ones, but there is tearaway (or even paper towels).
