The Bombshell is modeled on a classic 1950's silhouette, a style that harkens back to the golden era of flattering, sexy and (dare I say) modest swimsuits. The pattern includes 3 variations in 8 sizes: a gathered bust maillot, a halter neck, and a high waist bottom which you can mix and match with your favourite bikini top. Ruched on all sides and along the back center seam, the Bombshell hugs your curves while providing full (but sexy) coverage. Its booty encasing seat and skirt-like front ensure your butt is covered (literally), avoiding the dreaded 4-cheek butt-bulge of higher cut suits. Fully lined, it will keep you decent in or out of the water.

This PDF download includes detailed instructions with diagrams and step by step photos. The pattern comes in 2 formats: letter/A4 and one large 36" x 68" sheet that can be printed at any copyshop with a large format printer.
This pattern requires lycra swimsuit fabric and stretch knit lining. You do NOT need a serger for this pattern (although it does make for cleaner seams). I include instructions to make it using a regular sewing machine with a zig zag stitch.
This is an intermediate pattern HOWEVER I am hosting a sewalong on my blog here: http://closetcasefiles.blogspot.ca/p/bombshell-swimsuit-sewalong.html. If you have never sewn a swimsuit before or want even more instructions than what I include in this PDF, please check out my site. A novice sewist will be able to make this suit following that detailed tutorial.
