This beautiful headband will be as much of a joy to make as it is to look at! You'll learn three different techniques in just one book.

With more than 35 crisp photos in 14 pages, you'll learn:

*How to make a ribbon rose in two sizes
*How to make a ruffle flower, using two methods: hand sewing or machine sewing. NO SEWING MACHINE REQUIRED, but if you've got one, this pattern shows you how to sew the ruffle flower on your machine.
*How to create a template that you can use multiple times
*How to mount your flowers to a headband

This pattern is extremely versatile, because you can use the ribbon flowers for other applications - by themselves as hair accessories, for bow centers, and on shoes, coats and purses. Or, put them all together as shown in the beautiful Elizabeth headband. If you've never picked up a needle and thread before, have no fear - this is a pattern for beginners!

7/8" grosgrain ribbon (no wire)
1 1/2" double-faced satin ribbon (no wire)
Needle and thread to match your ribbon
Scissors, pins, ruler
A square of felt to match your ribbon (I do NOT recommend 100% wool for this project)
Fabric glue
Hot glue and glue gun
Wood-burning tool or Fray Check
A large decorative button
A thin metal, plastic or wire headband
Optional: Freezer paper and an iron and ironing board
