The Big Tote Bag is one handy bag! It's big enough to use for the beach, gym, library books, knitting or carrying groceries. It makes your fabric the focal point as the straps and body are cut in one piece.
The Big Tote bag can be reversible, or add an internal slip pocket perfect for your library card or some loose change. The wide straps make carrying the bag on your shoulder comfortable, even with a heavy load. - The pattern includes 20 full colour photos and 8 pages of detailed instructions.
Full size pattern pieces with seam allowances included. The pattern is easy enough for a beginner. Skills required are sewing curves and top-stitching - Finished dimensions: 40 cm (w) x 26 cm (h) x 15 cm (d) approx. (16" x 101/4" x 6") - measured along base.
I'm one of those people who looks at something in a shop and thinks 'I can make that' and off I go. I particularly love sewing and knitting and I've been sewing for as long as I can remember, starting off, like many sewers making Barbie clothes. Knitting is a more newly acquired skill, but with several amazing knitters in the family, it was something I thought I must know how to do!
