Pattern Description:
Make your little explorer this adorable dinosaur back pack.
Features two side pockets and loop to attach important things suck as fossil picks and compasses. Large zipper compartment big enough to fit in a couple of books, a catapult, small toys and other important things that a 4 year old might need.
The paw straps also have name/phone number tags underneath them, hidden from public view but handy in case your child gets lost.

Materials:
- 2 x plastic slide adjuster*. 2 x plastic loops*. 1m x 25mm / 40" x 1 " wide webbing. *Make sure that your sliders and hoops fit the webbing. 0.5m / 1/2 yd light~medium weight cotton fabric for the outside of the bag. 0.5m / 1/2 yd light~medium weight cotton fabric for the bag lining. Fat quarter of contrast light weight cotton fabric for the spikes and tape. 55cm x 50cm / 22" x 20" medium fusible interfacing. 55cm x 50cm / 22" x 20" light weight fusible interfacing. 30cm / 12" zip. 21cm x 12mm / 80" x 1/2" bias binding to matching the lining fabric. Optional 36cm x 12mm / 14" x 1/2" bias binding to make loops and pocket trim. Green felt scraps and 10cm piece of ribbon (for zip pull, optional). 30cm x 40cm / 12" x 16" batting coordinating thread and the usual sewing notions

I have an educational background in Electronic Imaging and Media Communications but after graduating I decided to pack my bags and travel the world. Which I did, teaching English to pay my way.
After a two year stint in the wilderness of Northern Japan, a local boy stole my heart, and I was unable to leave the country without it so we settled down together in Saitama (just outside of Tokyo). A few years later, after a slightly crazy wedding ceremony at Angkor Wat (which involved 5 priests, 9 nuns, Khmer dancers and an elephant ride up a mountain) baby Ebi appeared (now known as Ebi-kun) and after hearing myself saying "I go to shopping" and other grammatically incorrect English sentences I decided it was time to give up the teaching game and return to my passion of designing.
When Ebi-kun was still a baby I became interested in the Montessori system of education and so many of the items I design and make are influenced by Montessori, along with my passion for travel and all things kawaii that make Japan such a wonderful place to live.
