Do you often find yourself digging through your handbag searching for your keys? Your iPhone? Your lip balm? This purse organizer pattern will save your life (or at least your sanity). Sew one for a friend, too... it would make a great gift!
And the best part is that you can transfer all of your crucial items from one bag to another just by pulling out the organizer and inserting it into your new purse. There are two large interior pockets that will fit your phone and your checkbook, and the exterior pockets can be customized to fit your lipstick, gum, etc.
My simple sewing tutorial will guide you through each step, and you can print out the pattern if you like. It is geared toward all skill levels (even beginners). All you need is a quarter of a yard of canvas or thick cotton fabric, a quarter of a yard of stretch fabric, scissors, a metal o-ring and a sewing machine.

When I'm not working, I'm out exploring the lesser known parts of Boston or eating at hip new restaurants. Or shopping. Or hiking. Or looking for an ever-elusive Boston street parking spot (preferably on the left - I love a good challenge). For more crafty inspiration, check out my blog: http://designfixation.blogspot.com
