Pattern Description:

This mini tote bag measures 6 inches wide x 7 inches tall x 2 inches deep. It's the perfect size for packing your lunch, carrying a few books, or toting some toys. I embroidered one of my favorite birds from this Bird Sampler pattern onto a solid fabric before sewing it up, but you could simply use a fabulous print. Choose a fun coordinating color for the lining and you're ready to sew!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

6" wide, x 7" tall x 2" deep

Materials:

1 fat quarter for the bag
1 fat quarter for the lining

Todays Treasure

I am learning / practicing different fiber art treatment for fabrics. I wanted a surface that was the right size that they don't become a major project, but can be turned into something useful.

Then, I found the pattern for this bag. It works perfectly. The instructions are excellent and my first bag turned out better than I expected (given my current sewing skills).

I recently bought my very first sewing machine and I was eager to start a project that would be both easy and gratifying. This pattern hit the nail on the head. The instructions were very easy to follow and my little girl now has a darling tote for the playground. I may try it in a slightly larger size for myself so we can match!
