If you have never installed a zipper, no problem! The method used is extremely easy.

Pattern Description:

The Hanna Sleeve

PDF pattern instructions to make this beautiful yet simple to construct case, padded, fully lined with zipper pocket and closure, handles, and shoulder strap for your laptop or netbook!

You can use this pattern to create a cover with zipped pockets on both sides, or a cover with just the single zipper and no side pocket. Instructions will give the easy modifications.

When I got a full sized keyboard for my iPad, it was larger than the iPad itself and wouldn't fit in my other cases. Using this pattern, I stacked up the iPad and Keyboard, measured, and made a great case to fit my new gadgets perfectly. Use the same instructions to make cases for all your electronic portables that are larger than an iPad.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

The pattern for this set of instructions will fit your laptop or netbook of any size. Simple directions help you measure the device to be covered and make a custom case just the right size. You can use the same directions to make covers for different devices by modifying the measurements.

Materials:

1/2 yard of fabric. Consider pattern placement if fabric has a large noticeable motif, you may need more fabric. Consider direction of print. Best to take pattern dimensions with you when shopping.
1 yard of 44?? fabric for lining.
Batting, 2 pieces the size of your pattern

You Will Also Need:

2-22" zippers (longer is ok) in coordinating color (nylon coil) or 44" of zipper by the foot and two pulls. (If making a netbook case, you may need less.) Zipper should be 1-2" longer than your width cut.
2 ???? small tassel on a loop of cord
2 yards of 1-1 1/2?? Grosgrain ribbon or belting material for handles.
2 purse style claw hooks; 2 round metal rings; narrow ribbon (scrap, about 5??) for shoulder strap.
