Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Cut out a rectangular paper pattern piece
  • Stitch straight seams and trim them
  • top stitch through a few layers of fabric

Pattern Description:

This Hobby Apron has been designed for all your hobby needs, quick and easy to make, four deep pockets and long cotton webbing ties. Ideal for gardening, DIY and crafts.

This 6 page PDF sewing guide shows how to make you very own hobby apron with step-by-step instructions and lots of close up photographs to help you complete your project. The sewing pattern is classed as 'Beginner' suitable for anyone who has experience of using a sewing machine & following simple sewing patterns.

The guide will show you how to make your paper template, prepare your apron with wadding inside, add the webbing ties and make the pockets which are adjustable in width.

Instructions are given in both centimetres and inches to suit both US and European buyers.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished apron measure approximately 25" wide x 10" deep


  • 50cms (1/2yard) main fabric
  • 50cms (1/2yard) of contrasting fabric
  • 70 x 53 cms (27" x 21") piece of 2oz wadding (battening)
  • 1.7m of 4cm wide cotton webbing (67")
  • Matching thread

You Will Also Need:

  • Sewing machine and basic sewing equipment ie tape measure, scissors, fabric marker, pins etc.
