Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Hand sew, overstiching, secret seam. Drawing single threads from the cloth.

Pattern Description:

A fine printed Herms-style shawl or foulard in lustrous silk has always been the finishing touch to the classy woman or girl's outfit. They are extremely costly to buy ready-made... but by following my clear and detailed instructions, YOU will be able to produce the finest foulard for under fifty bucks.
I am offering a growing range of purpose-designed silks at Spoonflower.com, which you may Purchase in any quantity---from a handkerchief size to dozens of yards.
Learn the simple but precise techniques required in order to craft the very finest lady's shawl---for yourself, for a loved one, or indeed to earn money from the comfort of your home, while doing what you love to do!
Get your pattern and instructions, order your silk, and while the silk is speeding towards you, set up a corner with a 4ft by 4ft cutting & ironing board. This can be 3/4 inch plywood, and you can rest it on simple lightweight trestle legs for a convenient working surface which can disappear into your closet at a moment's notice.

Special Bonus! Every month I will send a complimentary yard of silk to the person who has followed these instructions and sent me the best modelling photos of the finished foulard: both close-up to show off your stitching skills, and worn by a suitably dressed model.

So... what are you waiting for! Do it today ;-)
