I'm so confused! Why is the pattern a trapezoid? I am assuming that the 40cm edge is the one on the top of the bag, so why don't the side seams match in length? And are we supposed to put fusible fleece on both the lining and the outside bag? Is the nylon ribbon you speak of meant to be a drawstring? How can the bag gather up if it's stiff?

Hello Sewphie

I am not a professional designer, so if you have some more detailed questions I might not be answering perfectly, however -- I simple described what I did myself when I assembled the chalkbag together several times

I only used fleece for the inside, but you can also use white linen instead, if you like
Generally I did not use it for the outside

The nylon ribbon is a piece of nylon that is about 1-2 cm wide, and different from the drawstring

Hope that helps ..

Marco
