I love whimsical things. The holidays are coming up and so is the cold. I have had these slippers in my head for about a year now, and here they are. Another fun way to use up those sweaters!

A little whimsical charm, just in time for the holidays.

A fun recycling project that you can do to use up your old sweaters and fleece jackets. This pattern tutorial is loaded with descriptive photos and tips. Only basic sewing skills are needed.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Pattern includes sizes NEWBORN to CHILD SIZE 13.

Materials:

  • sweaters or fleece can be used
  • needle and thread
  • sewing machine
  • scissors
  • bell, pom pom (optional)
  • small amount of stuffing

Good Adorable slippers  December 18, 2012


The only problem I had (other than using the wrong fabric) was that the pattern had two options and it was a little hard for me to follow the one I was supposed to be doing. Probably more due to my own inexperience than an issue with the pattern though. I plan to give it another shot - I just found an old Xmas sweater I was ready to toss anyway!
