Pattern Description:

This bucket hat is so sweet and easy to make! The hat looks adorable worn with one of our pillowcase dresses - ladybug, bee, monkey or bear!

Medium weight cotton fabrics were used for the sample hat. A black satin ribbon bow is attached to the front of the hat. The hat can be made with or without the bow.

Use different fabrics and it will make a great hat for little boys too.

The hat is reversible. The lining side doesn't have the 1" fabric band. The 1 1/2" wide brim can be folded up in the front for a different look.

This PDF e-pattern includes full size patterns for the hat top and hat brim (measurements are given in the instructions for the hat crown rectangle which goes around the side of the hat), a detailed materials list, clear instructions written in English and step-by-step color photographs.

Copyrights protect this pattern from being reproduced in any media format to be resold. Finished hats made from this pattern can be sold in limited quantities.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

It comes in two sizes - small (19") and large (20"). The hat will fit babies and toddlers from six months to three years.

Materials:

44/45" Cotton fabric for hat top and wide band of crown - 1/4 yard (pink/white stripe was used for sample hat)
44/45" Cotton fabric for narrow band of crown - 1/8 yard (green was used for sample hat)
44/45" Cotton fabric for hat brim & lining pieces (top, crown & brim) - 5/8 yard (bright pink dot was used for sample hat
36" Lightweight woven or nonwoven fusible interfacing - 1 yard
Sewing thread - coordinating color
OPTIONAL: 7/8" Ribbon for bow at center front of hat - 1/2 yard (black satin ribbon was used for sample hat)
TIP: If you are using a heavyweight cotton fabric, like denim, twill, corduroy, etc., you don't need to interface the fabric pieces.
