Bella Bags for the fun loving, crafty lady. This bag is anything but boring. The look can be anything from classy to sassy from sultry to silly.
Honestly, this bag was the most fun bag I have made. Making this bag will draw the artistic part of you out and let you shine. I think I could keep adding accessories because the ideas keep coming. The bag is not a big bag but it is roomy enough for the necessities...cell phone, lipstick and a wallet but small enough to carry on a walk and not be a bother.
The easy applique techniques used for this project are so simple you will have the bag assembled in just a little while. Cut out the applique pieces, glue them in place using a simple glue stick and then machine stitch close tot he raw edges. Teh hair is simply one piece of fabric cut into narrow strips and left to ravel.
Let the artist in you shine! Detailed explanations, ideas and instructions. Sew, have fun!

I rise early in the morning and go down late in the evening. My desire between waking and sleeping is to make things pretty or make pretty things! I have been in secondary education for twenty years teaching high school art, helping young adults recognize their creative nature or trying to help them develop one. I thought I had given up sewing when my little ones grew too big to applique their clothes and make cutesy clothes for them. I rediscovered that love of creative sewing one summer two or three summers back when I wandered into a quilt shop with my sister (the queen bee of quilting) and saw a little clutch purse pattern that looked too simple not to make. I was hooked! The rest of the summer I was designing purses and have been doing so every since.View all patterns by designer (25) »
