Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Running stitch, back stitch, cutting pattern pieces

Pattern Description:

I have used some of my stash of leftover felt fabrics to make a little apple charm; a perfect gift for a teacher to say thank you.

The project uses only small amounts of felt so is perfect for using up remnants in your stash. No sewing machine is needed, as it is all sewn by hand. The pattern includes templates for cutting the felt pieces and illustrated step by step instructions to help you.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The finished apple is approximately 5 1/2 cm wide and 5 1/2 cm high.

  • 10cm x 10cm square of light green felt fabric
  • 5cm x 5cm squares of dark green, brown and white felt fabric
  • Embroidery thread/floss in white, green, black and brown
  • 15cm length of ribbon
  • Small amount of toy filling/wadding
  • Sewing needle and scissors pins.

You Will Also Need:

  • (As some of the pieces are small, you may find it easier to use small scissors to cut the pieces.)
