Pattern Description:
Sassy little bag that's big on space! It has a removable shoulder strap so it can be used as a fanny pack. The front tab is a convenient pocket for your cell phone or keys. There is an outside zipper pocket and pockets inside too. Designed by Patricia J. Minich, a Hoffman Challenge finalist, for Jazz Cat Designs.
Materials:
- 1/2 yard main color fabric
- 1/2 yard coordinating color cotton fabric
- 3/8 yard fusible fleece
- 1/4 Yard medium weight fusible interfacing
You Will Also Need:
- 2 zippers, 10" or longer
- 2 rectangular metal rings, 1" long
- 5" length of 5/8" wide Velcro
- Thread to match fabric
- Sewing machine, 1/4" piecing foot, walking foot, zipper foot
- Rotary cutter with sharp blade / cutting mat
- 6" x 24" acrylic ruler
- General sewing supplies: straight pins, seam ripper, pencil, scissors, etc.

Jazz Cat Designs is a small company designing and providing patterns for quilts (irene Huffman and Dawna Sanders), purses (Patricia Minich), and hand embroidery (Courtenay Hughes). Irene Huffman primarily designs quilts, both large and small. She has recently introduced a pattern line called "My Perfect Quilt Size" (MPQS) which gives yardage, cutting, and piecing instructions for quilt designs from table topper, various table and bed runners, through lap sized to king sized quilts . . . all in a single pattern for a single price! She loves simple piecing that looks complex!
Dawna Sanders designs lovely, cheerful quilts, often multi-sized (MPQS) and frequently in the modern style.
Patricia J. Minich designs inspired purses and bags for all occasions. Her designs are fresh and original and most often contain pockets for carrying all your important "stuff". Her bag, "Courtney" was a Hoffman Challenge finalist in 2009 and was part of the traveling Hoffman show.
Courtenay Hughes is an embroidery artist extraordinaire! Her current offerings with Jazz Cat focus on lovely Colorado designs including our state flower, the Columbine!
