Basic Skills Necessary:

  • cut out a pattern
  • stitch around a curve

Pattern Description:

This visor is comfortable, adjustable, washable (if you choose washable fabrics) and it will roll up to fit in a bag or tote. You can wear your visor without mussing your hair -- just slip the loose ends under/through your hair before closing the ends. You don't have to smush your hair-do.

I designed and made these for myself (and friends and family) when I couldn't find one that was comfortable to wear while playing tennis. I no longer play tennis, but try to keep a visor in my purse and one in the car, just in case. It's great to have a visor on hand when you show up at a child's afternoon soccer game.

And if you're really into coordinating your outfits, make visors to match special outfits. These also make wonderful gifts. You can add cording on the outer edge and/or embroider the top before assembling --lots of creative possibilities.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Large with instructions for change.

  • 1/4 yd. material for visor
  • 1/4 yd. interfacing
  • 3" hook and loop tape
