Petite, Women, Tall

Item:

Shirt

Skill Level:

Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Great for first time with knits- carefully follow directions
  • Press a seam after stitching

Pattern Description:

This simple top goes together quickly and easily and is suitable for a wide range of knit fabrics. Each side of the front and back are cut together as one with the kimono sleeve. Sleeve is marked for short, elbow, and bracelet length. The back of the shirt is longer than the front, which helps cover that tricky area we all call the "muffin top."

This is an updated version of the Advance 7701 wrap blouse pattern, adapted for modern fabrics, techniques, and sensibilities.

I especially like this pattern for those with changing figures- whether from pregnancy, time, or weight fluctuations. It still fits, even when the rest of your clothes don't. And it's cute!

*This is a first draft pattern. If you have any issues with the scaling, please email stephc@3hourspast.com. Otherwise, the re-issue will be available soon. Email me and I will send you a notification when it is available.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Fits a wide range of sizes from 32" - 40" + bust. Ties wrap for 30" waist and smaller. Lengthen ties for more room in the waist.

About the Designer

I started sewing as a way to supplement my imagination and to costume the worlds my brother, sister and I created together. These days I love to sew interesting, comfortable clothes with unexpected cuts and details. Most of my inspiration comes from vintage and historical fashion, and I love to experiment with uncommon fabrics.
