Pattern Description:

I originally came up with this design for my [4x5] Modern Quilting Bee block. After making 6 of these, I was absolutely smitten with it and want to share it with everyone who is also interested in using this block.

It is fairly quick to put together, with a simple pattern. Yet the results are bold and interesting. The bold lines and slight angles capture your eye and keep you focused on the design. The thick lines are also great for showing off prints that you love, instead of hiding them behind the design. A great addition to any sampler quilt, or put a lot of blocks together for a wonderful design!

***Are you knew to paper piecing??? Don't you fret! Instructions for paper piecing are not included with the pattern, BUT I did put together a complete paper piecing tutorial on my blog. I even used this pattern for my tutorial so you can easily follow right along!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

12" square finished, 12.5" unfinished

Materials:

paper, 4 sheets for 1- 12" finished block
fabric, from scraps up to a Fat Eighth per color
