Keep your small children or grandchildren occupied while in a restaurant or at the dinner table with these quick-to-make, fun vocabulary-based learning placemats. The pattern contains 24 suggested themes or topics for the placemats along with suggestions and checklists for each. The pattern also includes a template for a tag to accompany your placemat with questions to get the recipient started if you're making it as a gift.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 16" x 12"


  • (12) 4-1/2" squares
  • 16-1/2" x 12-1/2" fabric for back (or 1 fat quarter)
  • 16-1/2" x 12-1/2" batting (such as Warm and Natural)
  • Optional: (3) 2-1/2" strips for binding

You Will Also Need:

  • Rotary cutter and mat
  • Piecing Thread
  • Ruler
