Sir Robot Quilt Block

from Slair's Lair
(7) Name: 'Quilting : Sir Robot Quilt Block
Sir Robot Quilt Block Sir Robot with heart

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Quilt block piecing (this is NOT a paper/foundation pieced pattern)
  • Precision cutting
  • Precise 1/4 inch seam allowance
  • Applique (for the heart & accessories)

Pattern Description:

This six page pattern contains detailed instructions for cutting and piecing the Sir Robot block.

Sir Robot comes with templates for his favourite accessories: a heart, gears, and a selection of mustaches.

The block takes a couple of hours to assemble, and I've found it quite exciting to watch the design come together. Once you've made one, you will definitely want to make another!

There is no paper piecing required to create this block. It's suitable for novice quilters who are looking to practice their piecing skills. This project will definitely help master a precise 1/4 inch seam allowance.
