The beautiful "Rosie's Rose" paper pieced quilt block pattern looks complicated, but is really quite easy to sew. This quilt pattern contains clearly annotated paper piecing pattern sections & how-tos for sewing the design and its mirror image. The pattern pieces as given make a 6" (15.24 cm) block. Use the convenient percentages table (included) to resize the block to a range of popular sizes.
Using subtle variations of the same color family, such as soft yellows or pinks, will result in a more natural looking rose. Choosing vivid, more contrasting tones will give your rose a more modern, graphic appeal. No matter what colors you select, though, you'll love watching your rose "bloom" as you sew the fabric pieces from the center outward.
A coloring page is also provided, for you to experiment with
your own color schemes and variations before cutting into fabric.
