This rockrose pattern has been created for the "Fling Spring Blog Hop" organized by Soma from Whims & Fancies (www.whimsandfancies.com) . 20 pattern designers have participated, creating free patterns to celebrate Spring.

This easy pattern is perfect to lear Y seam. This PDF quilt block pattern includes instructions for Y seams as well as clearly labeled paper piecing pattern sections, clear color chart and comprehensive instructions to sew the block in a range of sizes with a size chart to reduce or enlarge the pattern from 10" to 8" or 12 ".

This pattern does not contains basic paper piecing instructions. If you are a beginner, you can find a good tutorial on my blog to learn the technic. (http://www.bubblestitchquilts.blogspot.com).

Excellent Rockrose paper pieced block  May 1, 2013


This pattern is really accurate. There are a lot of pieces and there are Y seams to sew, but my block came out absolutely flat. I love the wonky look and that instead of 5 pieces being identical, you paper piece 5 slightly different pieces.
