This elegant lady with her fancy hat is my contribution to Jennifer's Blog hop, a collection of 30 paper pieced patterns with a Garden party theme.

I can imagine her sipping tea or nibbling a small cookie while sitting in the shade during a very fancy garden party. The hat's ribbon is the perfect place to showcase a fancy floral fabric, and you could also add an artificial flower for a 3d pattern.
