Pattern Description:

The Kokako is the twelfth pattern in my series of New Zealand Native Birds.

The Kokako is a wattle bird lives in forests in New Zealand. It used to be widespread, but the population has been decimated in recent years.

This pattern contains two "sanity savers". These are alternate simpler ways of piecing the eye and beak detail. These pieces have less detail and so the eye will have to be added using embroidery, a fabric marker or a bead.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • This pattern makes up a 12 inch finished block or a 12.5 inch unfinished block, but formulas for resizing the block are included in the pattern
