The PDF Indian Summer quilt block pattern contains clearly labeled paper piecing pattern sections & complete instructions to sew the design in a range of sizes. The pattern pieces as given make 6" and 12" (15.2cm and 30.5cm) blocks; for other sizes, use the handy percentages chart to enlarge or reduce the pattern to your desired block size.
You'll receive the block pattern and its mirror image.
A coloring page is provided for you to experiment with your own color schemes and variations before cutting into your precious fabrics. I happily provide email support for questions with sewing the block pattern.
The Indian Summer block was designed as a sunshine for one of my quilts. It works just as well, however, done in all kinds of prints and colors! If two of the sections are done as mirror image (as shown in the last photo), an interesting "God's Eye" or Indian-style rug design is seen.
The design of quilts using this block is limited only by your imagination. Unfortunately, I cannot provide further support regarding the design, instructions, and yardage for entire quilts using this block -- that's where your creativity kicks in!
Basic paper piecing instructions are not included. For personal use only.
