Flying Union Flag is a Union Jack quilt pattern to make an 8 inch x 16 inch block.
I always wanted to make a Union Jack pattern with the true proportion - 1:2 of the flag. When I got a request for this pattern, I couldn't put it aside any longer.
Making the Union Jack block with the paper piecing method will take out the calculation and guesswork. You will be able to make each block uniformly for your quilt with sharp and precise corners.
It is perfect for stand-alone projects such as a wall hanging, bag or a mug-rug. It could, of course, just as easily can be incorporated into a larger quilt.
The pattern for this paper pieced quilt block is made and tested by me. It is in color and clearly numbered. A diagram is also provided in the pattern. The finished block measures 8 inch x 16 inch.
Basic instructions for paper piecing are not included in the pattern. Please visit this link to get the tutorial for paper piecing -
