This six page pattern contains detailed instructions for cutting and piecing two different versions of the fire hydrant block.
The block takes a few hours to assemble, and I've found it quite exciting to watch the design come together from all the small pieces.Once you've made one, you will definitely want to make another!
There is no paper piecing required to create this block. It's suitable for novice quilters who are looking to practice their piecing skills. This project will definitely help master a precise 1/4 inch seam allowance.
What can you make with fire hydrant blocks?
- Little boys' quilts
- Doggie mats and blankets
- Fireman theme quilts and accessories
- Urban themed quilts and accessories
- So much more!
