Pattern Description:
I created this pattern in honor of the anniversary of the Civil War. This was a popular pattern in those days. I just love the center star. It's big enough to cuddle under.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 69" x 69"
Materials:
- Cream - 3 yards (blocks)
- Medium Brown or Gold - 1/2 yards (blocks)
- Dark Brown - 1 3/4 yards (blocks and second border)
- Red - 1 yard (center star block and first border)
- Binding - 3/4 yard (Cut 8 strips 2 1/2" X WOF)
- Back - 4 1/2 yards
You Will Also Need:
- This quilt is made with many half square triangles (HST). To make it easier to sew these blocks, use either the Omnigrid Item # 96 ruler, or the Easy Angle Ruler.
