Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knowledge of basic sewing skills
  • Knowledge of rotary cutting skills

Pattern Description:

Learn the basics of Shelley's Cathedral Window Technique while creating these fabulous Christmas Ornaments. Watch out, they're addictive!

The pattern includes two basic construction designs, the X and the O, with first a Traditional finish and then the alternate scalloped finish for a total of four different Ornaments. As a bonus there is a fifth variation included at the end of the pattern.

This techniques uses machine piecing to create bias folds that are rolled into curves at the quilting stage. They folds can be stitched by machine or by hand.


Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 3 1/2 x 3 1/2


  • Scraps are all that you need to make these Ornaments
  • Fabric requirements on pattern

You Will Also Need:

  • Sewing machine with 1/4 inch foot
  • Rotary cutting tools
