Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Accurate Cutting
  • Piecing
  • Basic Sewing Skills

Pattern Description:

This is a unique take on a classic design, the Lone Star. The pattern is written with tips and tricks throughout to help the quilter learn how to sew Y-Seams and get perfectly matching points. The pattern has 18 color photos and step by step assembly directions.

This pattern is also wonderful for using up scraps of fabric or leftovers of precious lines that aren't enough to make a large design.

Depending on fabric choice the pattern can be made into a very modern quilt or a very traditional quilt, the sky is the limit!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 50" x 50"


  • Small Stars - 4 prints - 1 Strip per print - 2.5" x WOF
  • Large Stars - 6 prints - 1 strip per print - 3 7/8" x WOF
  • Background Fabric - 2 yards
  • Backing - 3.5 yards OR use Flowering Lone Star pattern for backing
  • Binding 1/2 yard

You Will Also Need:

  • Rotary Cutter
  • Ruler: measuring 6.5" x 24.5"
  • Spray Starch
  • Basic Sewing Supplies
  • Blue Painters Tape
  • Removable marking pen such as a mark-b-gone
